As a fundraiser, East Valley baseball sells field signs that hang from the outfield fence on the baseball field. This advertisement is tax deductible and benefits the youth baseball players at East Valley in numerous ways. Our programs wouldn’t exist without generous contributions from the members of the community.
What are the Signs Made of? Our outfield fence signs are four-feet by eight-feet and are made of extremely high quality. The boards themselves are made of a combination aluminum and plastic (called alumalite) and are guaranteed for a lifetime. Vinyl is used for the pictures and/or print on the sign itself.
What are the Costs to the Fence Signs? The cost for the sign is $250 for the first-year and $200 each subsequent year. The sign will hang from February until approximately November. This will allow the sign to be seen throughout all of the high school baseball season as well as the little league and summer baseball schedule. In order for this to benefit the program financially, we are asking for you to keep the sign up for a minimum of two years. In other words, you would purchase the sign for $250 initially, then renew the sign for $200 during the second year.
What are the Benefits to Advertising? During the high school season we play approximately 20 games and we play over 80 games in the summer months. We play both local teams and teams from around the various areas of the state. Also, we put on an eight-team tournament that attracts many people to the East Valley area. With the little league fields located adjacent to us, you can see how widely publicized your field sign will be!
How Does the Money Benefit the Kids? The money raised by selling field signs affords 13-17 year olds the ability to play summer baseball at little or no cost. It costs approximately $12,000 to fully fund our summer baseball programs. Some of the costs associated with summer baseball include the following:
• Equipment (Baseballs, Helmets, Catchers
• Tournament Entry Fees
• Uniforms and Hats
• Travel Expenses
• Field Upkeep and Maintenance Equipment
• Miscellaneous Facility Improvements
